What Sparked This Idea?
After living in Las Vegas for almost 13 years now, I’m ashamed to admit it but I really haven’t done much in this city! 🤦‍♀️ Eek, I know right!?
So as I was Uber’ing around town and my passengers kept asking about all the stuff to do in Vegas, I was embarrassed! I didn’t know a whole lot, unfortunately.
When I came home, I was talking to The Shadow about it and then we both got a spark!
I said you know, we really need to explore the city and have more date nights. We both smiled that loving smile that couples do when they have a great idea and you both are into it.
Then we (ok, more like me Lol) thought, how cool would it be to share our city with the rest of the world through our dates!?
There are so many things to do in Las Vegas and The Shadow is really great at finding hidden gems or off the strip activities that most people don’t know about.
Not only would this make a cool concept to share the city and our love but even more so it’s an opportunity to not take what we have for granted.
I’ve had passengers from all around the world now and I’m always so amazed at how they travel all the way to Las Vegas and they are enjoying many activities that I never have before!
Our Concept
For starters, you’ve read “The Shadow” a few times now and you might be wondering what that is all about. That’s just one thing that plays into our concept.
You see, The Shadow is a very private person. He’s one of the only people I know that doesn’t have social media channels and reeeeeeallllly hates being in a photo.
Keeping him a mystery with only portions of him or his shadow in the photos will just keep the mystery to our audience alive! Will you ever get to see him? You never know!
Secondly, we will be going on all types of dates here in Las Vegas. We will share our experiences, pricing, hours, details and more. We’ll take video when we can and have a lot of photos to share too.
And last but not least, our goal is to connect even more while we’re on our dates. Power the phones down and enjoy the moment. 💏
Keeping The Love Alive
In 18 days, The Shadow and I will celebrate our 10 year anniversary, whoot! How awesome right!?
One of the things we thought we’d share is how we’ve kept our relationship alive over these years.
You see, we’ve actually spent almost half our relationship in different cities. Mostly due to work and family commitments and we’re still trucking right along!
We’ll share a few of our tips and some things that we do for each other that lets us know we’re thinking of each other.
Who knows, maybe a few of our “cute” things will spark something for you and your own relationship. ❤️
There’s No Time Like The Present
There really is no time like the present and we are never promised tomorrow so we are excited to get this kicked off!
Every week we’ll highlight a new date that we take in our city or online when one of us is traveling.
Honestly, I can’t wait to share even more time with The Shadow doing all kinds of cool things! I’m even working on a list of things to do and I don’t think 52 weeks will be enough in the year!
